We went of a self-driven "tour" of western Turkey in 2010. One morning, we spotted a truck full of sheep from our hotel window while we were eating breakfast. When our family travelled to Turkey in 2010 we drove around the western part of the country. The driving was crazy and erratic, and definitely unexpected highlight of sorts.
