On our 2014 visit to Egypt we stayed in the tiny village of Nazlet a-Sammam. The town overlooks the Pyramids of Giza and offers plentiful opportunities to go camel riding or horse riding. During our 2014 visit to Egypt, we were able to go inside two of the Pyramids of Giza. In order to preserve the Egyptian pyramids, only 200-300 visitors are allowed to go inside the pyramids per day. And, visitors are only allowed to go inside of two, since restoration projects are ongoing and run on a cycle.
