Istanbul: Haghia Sofia Part II

In this video, we wander around the Haghia Sofia interior. On the inside of the building there are birds and cats that have taken up residence and hang out in the structure alongside travelers. One thing we’ve noticed in our travels is that some countries are “dog places” while others are “cat places.” Arab and Muslim countries like Turkey are generally (in our experience) cat places where cats can be seen roaming freely, and are often adopted by communities as “pets.”
