Things to Do in Beijing: Swords at the Temple of Heaven

A person could probably join a group of people doing things like sword forms and the locals wouldn’t mind so long as that person was respectful and not disruptive (it’s a collectivist society, after all). We didn’t know that these kinds of morning events went on daily at the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. I’m not sure if the Chinese people ever take a day off from their morning exercises or not. Every day that we were there, there were people out in parks and open spaces doing something.
