On our way back to the Radisson Hotel in Varanasi, after passing several snake charmers, beggars, an outdoor loo, cows, and an overwhelming array of other miscellaneous things, John decided to pop into the sitar shop. Needless to say, he wasn’t thinking clearly. Though it would’ve been cool to have a sitar from India, it wouldn’t be so cool to carry on our backs from Varanasi to India and onward back to the states. It was neat to see the inside of the sitar shop though and get a little break from all the insanity outside.
