Note to Self: Next time you try to visit the Beijing Art Museum, bring your passports along.
Even though we weren’t allowed to go into the art museum, we still had fun on our daily Beijing outing. Instead of art, we visited a park. There’s a white stupa in the park that’s visible from The Forbidden City and other Beijing landmarks and the park was more engaging than a typical American park. You can visit the white stupa for a small additional fee in addition to the Beihai Park entrance pass. Good luck finding your way back out of the park once you’ve wandered in though, but this is part of the fun if you’re not in a hurry. Beijing tourist attractions aren’t very intuitive.
