These computers were stolen from this vacation rental in the middle of the night just a few days after this video was taken in Progreso, Yucatan. It was the first time we’d ever been robbed, which was part of the nomadic lifestyle learning curve. A few days after the robbery, a main pipe burst at our house in the United States. It was flooded for three days before someone discovered it. We learned about it on Jennifer’s birthday. In this video, Jennifer and Lydian remain blissfully unaware of what was to come in the days ahead.
The house belonged to a friend and it was sparsely furnished, which was fine with us. We just wanted a place to stay for a month with basic amenities. Hammocks are pretty comfortable and we made do with three of them. Lydian was working online on her college classes while Jennifer worked on writing projects for clients.
