Things to Do in Beijing: Hawberries and People-Watching

China was only our 2nd overseas trip, so we spent most of our days there in tourist-attraction mode. We wanted to “see it all”, but the most interesting thing to see were the people and the everyday things they were doing on the streets. Hawberries are a sweet treat that we absolutely loved after we tried them. And one we realized how much fun it was to just watch the people, we slowed down and started just wandering in Beijing. In this video, Lydian and Jennifer stand outside on the sidewalk watching people while John goes into a grocery store next door to the Yongdingmen Hotel (where we stayed) to buy hawberries.
