We visited the White Desert in January 2016. The landscape was striking, and unlike anything we’d ever seen before. Our guides told us that the area had once been completely underwater, and that people often find seashells (we managed to find some). But, despite the amazing landscape, the trip was edgy and stressful. We’d left from Cairo at 5am that morning, and wouldn’t get back until 10pm that night. On our trip to the White Desert, we saw the place where the Mexican tourists had been killed just months prior (and felt a little unsafe ourselves). In this video though, we’re having some fun.
