Mcleodganj: Highlights from the Hike Toward Dharamkot

The hike from Naddi Village toward Dharamkot started out pretty slow. There were steep drop-offs and sewage pipes, but by the end of the hike, we were happy with out experience. We hiked to a little clearing with lots of prayer flags where an old dog greeted us. We passed a monk on the way up the hill as well as cows and slugs. It’s easy to get distracted by things like sewage in India, but then you miss the magic. On the way back to the Asian Health Resorts and Spa, a young boy stopped John to tell him that it was his birthday.
