Asakusa wasn’t exactly an edgy destination for us, but we still had fun looking at all the sights and just enjoying the laid back vibe on our afternoon visit to this tourist district in Tokyo. On the way back to our vacation rental, we walked through tunnels to get back to the Skytree. Asakusa is one of Tokyo’s most popular tourist destinations, and an excellent place to go to shop, eat delicious food, and see interesting celebrations (and the Sensō Ji Temple). Apparently, there’s always something going on at Asakusa… So it makes for an ideal destination!
