Attending a temazcal in Mexico is a mind-blowing experience as a foreigner. Lots of locals go every week though. A temazcal is both a spiritual and a healing experience. In this video, Karolina (in the bandana), leads the opening ritual by paying homage to the four cardinal directions and blowing the conch shell. Each of us is then purified with smoke before entering the temazcal. The whole ritual takes about 3 hours.
Karolina is a curandera in Guanajuato, Mexico.
