Amazon Tourism: How deep is the water?

Jennifer keeps asking and Anselmo keeps telling her, but she just can’t hear what he’s saying. Maybe it’s the early hour, or the overwhelming business of being in the Amazon Rainforest. Who knows?

We stayed with Maniti Camp Expeditions while we were in Iquitos, Peru to see the Amazon Rainforest from 2 hours downriver. Maniti hired a naturalist, Anselmo, who transported us from Iquitos to the Maniti lodge and he did an excellent job. He was gruff but knowledgeable. He definitely knew his way around the Amazon Rainforest and he seemed very dedicated to keeping us safe.
