Kitchen Antimicrobials for Head Gouge in the Sierra Gorda

In the middle of the night, in the middle of the jungle of the Sierra Gorda mountains, Jennifer smacks her head on the side of the sink while leaning over to get something off the floor in the middle of the night. She cracks the skin on her forehead open, but doesn’t have her med bag with her. In this video, Jennifer talks about the kitchen antimicrobials she put on the gash to keep it from becoming infected. Common things like vinegar, honey, garlic, or even lime juice can be used to prevent an infection when nothing else is available.
