Tourism in Cambodia: More Crappy Techno in the Cambodian Taxi

Some of the Cambodian techno music that we heard in the taxi on our way to Siem Reap was so bad that it was offensive. In between the crappy techno songs were 80’s songs that reflected some of the darker aspects of the time period.

By the time we’d gotten into a taxi to Siem Reap, we were home free. The Thailand-Cambodia border crossing from Aranyaprathet to Poi Pet had been a challenge because we didn’t have a photocopies of our passport on hand (John had to go on a big adventure to get them), but the heat and the humidity didn’t help either. At least the taxi had air conditioning.
