Bangkok to Siem Reap: The Shuttle Bus at the Thailand/Cambodia Border

After a harrowing and nerve-wracking walk across the Thailand-Cambodia border, we finally loaded our bags and ourselves onto a shuttle bus that we assumed would take us to our next stop (a taxi station) on our way to Siem Reap. The border crossing was made more difficult in large part because of the heat and humidity, but also because we didn’t have a PHOTOCOPY OF OUR PASSPORTS. Perhaps photocopies aren’t always required. I get the feeling like the daily requirements for Cambodian visas change on a whim, but maybe not (who knows?) The overall chaos of the border crossing between Aranyaprathet and Poi Pet was due in part to the lack of signs and direction from the local people. In this video, we’re suffocating from the heat in the back of the stuffy shuttle bus.
