Things to Do in Tijuana: The Beach Along the Border

You can’t get any further northwest in Mexico than this… In Tijuana, it’s called “el muro en la playa,” or the wall on the beach. On the Mexican side of the border there’s a monument (dedicated to the border), a malecón with shops, restaurants, and live musicians, and families out and about for a day at the beach. On the American side of the border, we saw only two people far away in the distance, no buildings, and little activity to speak of except the tire tracks in the sand from American border patrol.
