Beijing Tourism: In Search of the Forbidden City

On our first try getting into the Forbidden City, we walked all around the outer walls trying to find an entrance with fewer people cued up to go in. It just didn’t make sense to us that Beijing-ers would be going to the Forbidden City en masse on a random Saturday. We thought perhaps there was a special event and that maybe the entrance to the Forbidden City was located elsewhere.

In this video, we encounter a music student learning an instrument with an instructor chiding her. A tout comes up and gives us some directions with a map. Even though we were lost, we saw some cool things on the journey.
