Turkey Tourism: Underground City in Cappadocia

We visited Turkey in 2010 and drove from Istanbul to Cappadocia. Visiting Derinkuyu Underground City in Cappadocia was an interesting and fun experience for us, since it had and interactive education aspect to it. We visited another underground city in Cappadocia after we had such a positive experience at Derinkuyu, but the second underground city felt sketchy and unsafe. The social environment around this second underground city was questionable, and we were decided to leave the underground city before having explored much because it didn’t feel like a good idea. Derinkuyu felt safe though, and made for a cool activity.
