Tour of the Tibetan Children’s Village

Politically, Tibet has never tried to assert itself in the world. They simply want to live by their own traditions and values, but unfortunately, it’s too easy to forget their plight. China has invaded their region with the goal of squelching their religion, language, and culture in order to obtain the natural resources there. So now, the Dalai Lama lives in exile in McLeod Ganj along with a large population of Tibetans. We were able to get a guided tour of the Tibetan Children’s Village while we were staying nearby in Nadi Village. This is a place where Tibetan parents who are still living in Tibet can send their children in the hopes that they’ll be raised with Tibetan values. The Tibetan Children’s Village in McLeod Ganj relies on donations to continue its operations. If you watch this video, please consider donating to these peaceful people by visiting this link http://www.tcv.org.in/donation. Even a small donation would be appreciated!
